Some day

   

Inside THE Dark

I have heard from others
That they are drawn to THE light
I prefer to keep a safe distance
Remaining ever curious
Along the fringes of THE bright.

There are things in THE shadows
That intrigue me the most
Slower, quieter, harder
Stiller, deeper, sweeter
Things that do not boast.

I have heard from others
That they are scared of THE dark.
I want to wear it too often
Knowing full well
The silkiness of THE dark.
